Giant Gullies in the Hellas Montes

This image shows portions of what could be called “giant gullies.”

Actually, most of the Martian features called “gullies” would be called “ravines” on Earth, given their size. The depositional fans have been covered or heavily modified by glacial flows. (See PSP_006672_1420 for an adjacent image showing more of this dramatic landscape.)
